Cinema observation and recommendation

I find it quite amusing that Kiwis are so obedient about sitting in their allocated seats in the cinema even if it is virtually empty. They all sit bunched up together even tho there are lots of spare seats!

Anyway, I want to recommend Separation City, a NZ made film written by Tom Scott. A bitter/sweet, comedy, drama, about love and friendships. It was filmed mostly in Wellington and my friend and I had great fun trying to identify the locations.

Thanks for the tip:nice1
Tom Scott the cartoonist?

But don't you just love being able to bring in your drinks though!

I'd recommend Disney Pixar's new movie 'Up'. :laugh

We took Dad to see it on Fathers Day, (free for all Dad's that day too)!! :nice1

Not intellectually stimulating, but a very sweet and funny little movie. :)

So few films have allocated seating that I've never noticed the bunching up together phenomenon.
I love that you can buy alcohol in the cinema - so nice to sit with a glass of wine or bottle of beer whilst watching a movie, rather than a huge paper cup full of pop.

There is a cinema in Martinborough that stops the film half way to bring in hot muffins and coffee :-)

And yes, it is great to be able to take glass/bottle in rather than plastic cups.
The Deluxe cinemas, within a multiplex, even bring food and drink to you to eat in your leather chair!
