What happens if blood test or urinalysis results show evidence of drug usage?
Do they even test for this in the medicals?

No they don't specifically test for this. You can look at what they do test for here:http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rdonlyres/DE431E92-0ADE-4B5F-81F9-18DF08E5B2EA/0/1007.pdf

OH had to go for specific drug and alcohol blood tests for his employer as these did not form part of the standard tests carried out for immigration.

This is my favourite question ever.

weirdly, for drug tests, the "softer" drugs stay in the system longer. frinstance, cocaine leaves the body pretty quickly but cannabis stays in for longer.

So your fat soluble drugs (say THC) tend to stick around for a while. water soluble drugs clear pretty quickly. I've always thought that anyone that can't abstain for the amount of time required to pass a drug test does not deserve to pass.

Doc Mike, only interested in licit drugs.
