Well title says it all, we were in nz for a mere 7mths and have been home 2yrs this wk.

I still check the forum often, seeing less peole that we know, but its still nice to read other peoples journeys. Knowing how they feel and the rollercoaster of emotions that they go through. Sometimes I get pm's from people who are struggling and have perhaps read my posts so I feel satisfied that I have helped in some small way.

We are happily enjoying life in UK, managed to buy another home, got our old jobs back within few mths, I have a new grand daughter this yr, and the kids r thriving. So home is a diff place for everyone and although NZ was delightfull it just wasnt for us.

Good luck to all xx

Hi, Amanda, it's over 3 years for us and your story mirrors mine very much except I had another a son not grandchild!!!
We are glad we came home although my other half would have stayed but his family happiness is important to him. I am glad for the experience though.

Can remember that day we met you down in Pirongia as if it was only yesterday. The years are flying through Amanda. We are hitting the 4 year mark of being here in 3 weeks:uhoh Now is that a good thing, or a bad thing? Suppose wherever you are in the world, there will always be a what if scenario. Say hi to Dan, and take care of yourself

The difference in lifestyles, New Zealand and Britain, has to be big, to each his own.

Wow is it really two years! Thanks soooo much for sharing your story and for continuing to 'keep an eye' on us. Congrats on your new grandchild and I wish a long and healthy future for you and your family wherever you feel truly 'at home'.
