Now that we know we are flying in to christchurch on 13th Jan, we are looking for a holiday let around the Rangiora area for approx 2-3 weeks. This should let us recover from jet lag, enjoy summer and look for a rental in Rangiora, in time to get the kids enrolled in to a Rangiora Primary school for the start of the new school year. There are 5 of us, myself, my wife and 3 children under 11. If anyone can give us some useful pointers, please feel free to PM me. Thanks.

There are many nice bed and breakfast inns in the countryside around Rangiora. In Fernside and Ohoka.

I don't have a link but just wanted to say that this is a very viable option.

All of the ones I have seen are palatial.

Just had a wee look on trademe and found this which is available short-term but is maybe a bit pricey although it is fully-furnished:

There are cabins to rent here ad Ashley Gorge is fantastic:

Try this too:

Also worth remembering that you are arriving slap bang in the middle of school hols (just like we did in 2007 :) ) and that it may be difficult to get booked into accommodation.

Give me a shout if you need any more info on Rangi :yes
