We meet at a pub called the Salt Cellar which is just off jct 18 M6. The next meeting is 21st May. It's always a really good afternoon, a good crowd get there and it's great to be able to talk to people who are all at different stages of the immigration process.

It always turns into abit of a 'party' too. Really worth going. Would be great to have you join us. We can always meet you on the way if you like and then you won't have that awful feeling of having to walk into a crowd as 'strangers' - you will be very welcome !!!!!

PM me if you want more info.

We would have love to come to this, but I have my Uni ball on the 21st :cheers
Could we come to the next meet, whenever it may be? Would love to meet up and talk NZ to peeps on here without boring everyone to death...well, that may happen, but Im sure theres less chance than usual

The NW meets are brilliant (if I manage to get out of work etc), its an amazing opportunity to meet other people in the same boat, who've got so much experience and are always willing to give you advice.

The 21st Looks good, and then home to cheer on Widnes against St helens.

Do you think the amount of people wishing to leave Wigan (and the NW in general) says something?

Cheers
Jon

I think it speak volumes.

IMHO the North West has always been a friendly place but as the years go by it isn't the same as it used to be.

I really don't want my kids growing up in a society were no-one looks at each other in the eye for fear of reprisals etc. As well as a miriad of other reasons too.

I fully agree with Jo - the feelings I have are that I love my country but I don’t like the thought of our 2 year old growing up in a society where, as Jo put it, you daren't look somebody in the eye and people just don't seem to have time for one and other.

What put the tin hat on it for us was when I was hijacked on my own drive for my car last September - they nearly got away with my son in the car! The police responded very quickly but they were so blasé about the whole affair, apparently it’s more common than you think. We live in a really nice place, or so I thought, and it saddens me that we are forced to go to this extreme to afford a decent upbringing for our child.

Roll on NZ.

Lynn

that is very scary.

Wigan isn;t what it used to be. Every one used to smile and say hello in the street. You rarley get a sidewards glance nowadays and if you do it's for the wrong reason.

Are you coming to the meet??
