Hi,
Jamie's emailed a few engineering companies in NZ to enquire about wages, but they said without seeing his CV they couldnt answer.

Did a search for this on the forum but couldnt find anything.

Could anyone give us a indication of an average Mechanical Design Engineers wage in Christchurch. Obvioulsy it will vary from company to company, but just an average would be great. Also, what are the chances of getting a company car out there??

then you need to find the appropriate kind of mech eng. then on about the third page of whichever "appropriate kind of mech eng" Jamie does there will be a series of graphs of income survey across the country. It seems reasonably accurate to me taking into account that I work in AKL and comparing the salaries that guys that work for me earn.
