Just got the email from NZIS asking for a date for
our interview, and is we have our original Certificates from UNI.
(Andy has lost his so not sure what to do, will sort it though).

We have to contact them to set a date, so I suppose I will have to get
Andy on the phone tonight to talk to Agencies and companies about
Job prospects.

We have researched into his work field, but had not wanted to contact companies too early before coming, not wanting to p*** them off. But
I think Andy will need to speak to them before the interview.

Gosh it is scary. It makes it all real again, sort of forgot about it a bit
since I sent of the ITA, kept checking the email but thought, oh it will be a bit longer.

AHHHHH hope we are doing the right thing.

Jo Can't you contact the Uni Andy was in and ask for certified copies?

They sent us a letter, but did not state it was BTEC, which NZ has to have, but I am sure we can get them to do another letter or contact BTEC and get a copy.

We needed sort of an official confirmation since one of hubby's schools had merged and had a name change, the adress of the school wasn't even on the original diploma! So before we sent our stuff to the NZQA, we contacted the school about this and they were very nice and helpfull, they made copies of the original diploma's and added stamps and stickers and even the signature of the school's director. No problem and no charge even! So I would not despair if things like this happen, I explained it to them and they were really very helpfull, after they heard we wanted to go to New Zealand :yes

The woman at the Uni is away until Monday, I will see what they can do then. I am sure they will be very helpful, we all are when you catch us in the right mood.

Not arranged a time yet as CO part time.

But phoned a company in NZ the wednesday night to get a feel for the job market and Andy was beaming from ear to ear.

The guy emigrated from London 18 years ago and recommended it, said salary range $50000-70000$ higher range and above perhaps in Aukland. But that the Construction and Refurbishment market booming, and a buyers market even for Sales in the field.

He was great as we are emailing him this weekend and he is going to give us a list of names and companies to contact with regard to employment.

What a find.

Other company just put us through to personel and an answer phone but that was Aukland not Christchurch, I knew there was a reason I like the look of the place.

Will have to check the old threads on how good a salary $50K would be. Liveable with 2 adults one kid.

Gosh it all seams real now.
