Does anyone know whether we are 'supposed' to have this. :?
I thought it was only the elderly that needed it, but have been reading in the paper about it and it was saying it is for anyone to get it
Jon was telling me his workmates are all having one, and he is through work.
Does anyone else know?? :?
Thanks
Joanne :cheers

I do think it's for those that are more susceptible - although the girl that owns the shop that I work at gets one each year due to the amount of people she (we) come into contact with so I shall be looking to get one too.

I've had one each year since I've been here, paid for by my employer. They have a nurse come in and everyone who wants one gets one.
According to our GP it takes a few years to build up an immunity to all of the strains, but once you've had several you're pretty well protected.
With all the stories about the next big epidemic being imminent I'll certainly be looking for all the protection I can get...

I caught the flu twice, both times I was in bed for almost 2 weeks and it wasn't too good.
SInce then I pay for a flu jab, and have been Ok ever since. As I work for myself, every day off is a day's pay lost, so its hard to be ill - not just for me, but for the rest of the family as well ;-)
I hope when I get to NZ I can continue getting the jab.
cheers
