Hi all

Does anyone know how many points you get for a job offer? and does it matter what type of job ie, does it have to be within the same field as previous job experience and qualifications.

Hope I'm not clutching at straws.

Lets try and think!

Its 50 points for a job offer (it has to be skilled ie related to either work exprience or qualifications), you get 10 extra points if its in an area of special shortage like IT, pharmacy and so on and 10 points if its not in Auckland.

I'm sure someone will correct my errors!!!

50 points for skilled employment
must have experiance 6 years or more give more points.
skills shortage are 15 points i think
outside AKL add another 10
future growth area add another 15
several other factors also apply

i got 100 points extra upon reciept of my job offer!
