I cannot find anything on the forum regarding meeting in New Zealand for those of us who have been fortunate enough to have made the move, similar to those meeting in the UK for those hoping to make the move.

Are there such meetings and are any planned as we would love to meet up and exchange experiences etc. I do remember a possible Wellington meeting some weeks/months ago, as well as those in Christchurch. What about meetings in Auckland/Hamilton area.

Pam & Dave,

I think the reason for this is that most of the forum members already in NZ are in the South Island.
In the not too distant future there will be quite a number of us getting over to the north, ie: Tauranga, Coromandel, Hamilton and Hastings.
I for one will be more than happy to organise a get together once I've landed and found my feet. I know there are one or two others that have also expressed an interest in doing this too. :nice1

It wont be too long

Sit tight, the pom's are coming. :uhoh

My good friend Bubbles is right !!!!!

There's gonna be a huge influx of Poms to the north isalnd over the next couple of months or so.

Jo B has (preliminary) plans in place for a forum camping weekend .... (I know for a fact that Jan's got her billy and tent packed already - she's all excited 'cos she loves camping).

Alot of us who go to the NW meetings here at home are all going to be living within a couple of hours drive of each other (more or less) so I can put money on the fact that the social gatherings will continue 'on the other side' too.

We get there 9 weeks on Saturday (actually - we leave 9 weeks on Saturday) .... we're always up for a get together. Shall I bring the gin?

See you soon.

Hi everyone

Yes I had kinda got the impression that a number of us were coming to the north island and we would certainly be up for meetings, be they camping (our brand new tent still got inspected by MAF) or just a social get together.

Glad there are some seasoned ?? organisors out there. The weather here in Cambridge is still great, with masses of warm sunshine, if a little cold over night. Today we went to Hamilton and had a great time walking around the gardens and the lake, as well as visiting kitchen and bathroom showrooms.

We are now just killing time until we move into our house and then the seriousand exciting work begins.

Look forward to hearing about a meet and good luck to all of you who are about to make the best move of your lives.
