An Auckland based engineering agency is calling on Thursday night to speak Jamie.
We want to be prepared when he calls, and can think of obvious questions to ask like salary, promotion opportunites, pension advice, CV tips etc.
Can anyone think of anything we might not think to ask, but which would become blindingly obvious once were out there, and we wish we would have asked?
Anything, no matter how random, will be greatly appreciated
Cheers guys :nice1

Is it an agency as in job agency that is calling? If so then I wouldn't worry too much about the call (not suggesting that either of you are worried). I had several interviews with both agencies and employers recently, and all bar one were the most relaxed affairs imaginable. Just fire away your questions and let them answer them all!
A word of caution about agencies :- I found that in general (some are better than others), they will just mirror back your responses e.g if you ask what band of wages you can expect, they will ask your expectations and then try to fit in with what you want to hear. At least thats the impression that I got. Best of luck for a positive outcome :yes

Well, Chris from the agency rang last night! I nearly dropped the phone when i heard a kiwi accent on the other end!
Well, things are looking really good! Theres seems to be plenty of work, he told Jamie he could arrange an interview staright away if he wanted! :exit
So, theyre going to meet in Auckland when were there in Dec for a coffee and a chat! He was really friendly and told us more than we thought he would. They were on the phone for almost 30 mins!!!
He told us probably the most opportunities in Jamies line of work would be in Welly, so anyone got any good/bad things to say about Welly (I already know about the wind! )
I couldnt get to sleep last night with excitement! Wonder how Ill cope when we've submitted the EOI! :eek
