Are there limits to how much alcohol you can bring in your container when you are moving as a PR? I can get Tequilla for about 1/2 the price in the states so I was thinking of bringing over a case since it does not really have a shelf life and that should last us a good 10 years.
Thoughts?

Check with your shippers - some will not take alcohol in the containers - not sure whether its their choice or law

Hi Chris,
I e-mailed MAF about bringing the contents of a wine cellar......they said we could ship it in our containier without duty......as long as it looked like random bottles collected over time....not just cases of the same wine.
I think regular alcohol is subject to regular duty which only allows you a couple of bottles.
But as in the previous suggestion I would e-mail them, they have been very fast and complete in responding to any questions that I have had via e-mail.
Regards,
Kate

Found out a bit more. You can bring your personal collection but I can confirm what Kate says, it should be a collection not just a bunch of the same thing. Oh well probably better off without the case of Tequilla!
