Is anyone up for another South-west meet?

I realise that this is a busy time for a lot of us; Dan & Victoria are already on 'the other side' and Jennie & Rob's departure is also imminent (good luck :nice1 )
However, there may be a few more out there in the South-West now considering NZ?

So, how about it folks? Any suggestions? Dates? Venues?

Cheers,
John.

Hi John,

We would love to get together again for another meet - it was great to chat to eveyone last time. Again we could make most weekends, and would be happy either at the same place or different venue if others preferred.

Does anyone else out there fancy joining us for a get together?

We can make it to the pheasant Inn, but we will require bussiness class seats and a NZ consultancy fee :laugh Not really, I wouldn't do that flight again. Best of luck with the meet up, and if anyones thinking of going for the first time , do so its an extremeley valuable experience.

Anne & I will be there, at the Pheasant or somewhere else is fine by us. Had a great time at the last meet.

I've pulled this up to the top again. Is anyone else interested in a meet? Don't let the photo's scare you off - we really are quite friendly :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh

Come on everyone, there must be more than 6 of us in the South West. It really is a great experience meeting like minded people, and a very positive step in the process.

Looking forward to meeting more future Kiwi's!!! :nice1

Hi,

We'd love to join you again - though I must say at the moment we are having the major 'colly wobbles' about the whole NZ thing.

The Pheasant is fine by me - they seemed quite laid back about the kids etc. there.

OK, so let's settle on The Pheasant again. I thought the venue was good last time (thanks to Sandra's sister for the original recommendation :nice1 ), was just a bit concerned in case it was 'out of range' for anyone last time.

Right, dates. How about Saturday 28th May ? I realise that's end of term here in Swindon and people might have holiday plans, so lets add this Saturday (21st May) to the list as well. Any other suggestions welcome. Early afternoon again?

John.

PS Here's the map to the pub again:

I'd like to rule out this Sat (21st May), as some can't make it.

So how about this Sunday, 22nd May?

Or Sat 28th May?

Any thoughts, anyone?

John.

Hi John, we could make Sunday 22nd, but not Saturday 28th (start of school holidays for us).

Hi,

Sunday 22nd will be OK for us. This weekend is better than next as we'll avoid the tangle with Bank Holiday traffic as well.

Right, I've pre-booked the non-smoking bay window area again (overlooking the outdoor play area).
Deb & I will be there from 1pm (maybe earlier) as most people arrived early afternoon last time.
The pub does a Sunday roast for £6.95 (adult) and £3.75 (child). Meat choice will probably be Chicken or Beef, but it's too early for the pub to confirm.
They would prefer pre-bookings for roast meals, to cater for the numbers, but this is not strictly necessary - Pheasant Inn tel no: 01980 862374.
Please feel free to PM me for further details if reqd.

See you on Sunday! :cheers

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we won't be there on Sunday. After a lot of soul searching and many sleepless nights, we've decided not to go to New Zealand. As you know, Stu had a job lined up and we've even paid for the flights!! So I'm feeling a little 'flat' today folks. Have a great time on Sunday and good luck for the future. Sharon.

Dear Sharon, Stuart & Joe,
sorry to hear that you won't be there, we will miss you.
You've come to a brave decision, and shown more courage to post it openly on here. As has been said, you must do what feels right for you, and I wish your family all the best for the future.

Kind regards,
John & Debbie.
