My boss of 6 days now, got a very odd call at work yesterday. Some survey company phoned up to speak to him about employment and the immigration issues as an employer. Being polite but vague he hummed and haád at their ramblings. Then they said does Daniel ring a bell with you. Hows his status and what stage is he at. To whixh the boss replies yes he has PR and he turned up with his lunch box and started working. Oh okay we wont bother you any more then and that was it.

a survey company hey, knows who Iam and who I was going to work for just after 12 days in country, sounds fishy to me.
How would a survey company be privy to NZIS confidential records and data.

But I agree, sounds suspicious. Perhaps it's just the Kiwi relaxed manner, but to be asked 'does Daniel ring a bell with you' sounds a bit too informal for an authorised request :uhoh
Whoever they were seemed satisfied with your boss's response though, so that's something at least! :cool
