Dear all,

Sorry for not updating you guys on our trip to NZ as we have been real busy doing the stuff like going for job interviews, visiting friends, visiting schools for my son, picking apples from the orchards and checking out prices of things.

It has been a great week for us and we really enjoyed our stay in Palmy. Even though it is cold during this part of the year, it is warmer than when i was here 15 years ago. The town has not change much except that there are more shops and people in Palmy is so friendly. The best part of our trip is to go the orchards to pick apples from the trees something which my son have not experience before. We wanted to go for a horse ride but cannot find a school that provide one. Maybe next time.

The trip out of Palmy to wellington was also excellent as the scenery of the Manawatu was just breathtaking and bring back a lot of memories.

Thats all for now and just got news that the NZIS decide to upgrade our WTR to PR outright.

Thanks for all the best wishes.

We have just return from NZ just a couple of hours ago and here I am at the forum.

This trip have been great for us. Though we did not get a job offer, we did went for a couple of interviews and we get our PR while we were there. I just cannot wait to return to NZ in Oct.

The weather was also great. 3 out of the 9 days while we were there were balmy and sunny. People there were so friendly and very much patient and during our trip we manage to do some touristy thing like picking apples from an orchard, feeding bread to the ducks in the duck ponds and of course buying souvenirs like chocolates, allblacks jerseys,etc.

Things were not so expensive anymore when compared to 15 years ago and you can get basically anything now here in NZ.
