New Entrants 5.0yrs to approx 5.5yrs
Year 1 Approx 5.5 yrs to approx 6.5yrs
Year 2 approx 6.5yrs to approx 7.5 years
Year 3 approx 7.5yrs to approx 8.5 years
Year 4 approx 7.5yrs to approx 8.5 years etc

Most children start school on their 5th birthday so there is a constant drip feed in during the year.
Mid year there is often a shift through into the next Year 1 class to make way for incomng New Entrants (these classes are often kept to what I consider to be tiny! (approx 12-15)
Because of the shift through - it will sometimes mean other children shift through into higher classes too.

No Key stages here......but the Curriculum is divided into "expected achievement levels"
http://www.tki.org.nz/e/tki/
This is a reaally AMAZING site.........Look in the Communities areas... and the Exemplars give you an idea of what achievement is expected at each level.

Roughly speaking - Level One would be classed as Key Stage One Levels 2 and 3 Key Stage Two.(If I remember the Key Stages correctly)
