Dear all,

The NZQA writes it requires proof of work experience. Is this specifically where work experience is needed to qualify for a diploma (do they need proof of internships?), or is it also to verify extra points for work experience claimed on the EOI/ITA?

When they don't verify extra work experience for the EOI, but only for the validity of the diploma, is it required to send in proof of work experience for periods after the diploma? I have a Bachelor's degree in electronics and after this 10 years of work experience in the field, however this work experience didn't have anything to do with validating the diploma.

I have written references of my employers, no problem there, but the fewer original documents I have to send over the globe the better.... ;)

Hi. I dont know, but I wanted to give you a bump up, since you haven't gotten an answer. You might check out this thread:

They seem to say that when in doubt, you should send it, even if it seems unrelated.

I sent references from employers to NZQA. Dunno why they want them, but they obviously don't check as throughly as the NZIS as I had to give them a lot more evidence :laugh

Although NZQA took an age to verify (12 weeks?) they were prompt at sending to documents back.

Hi Erwin, we sent them all they wanted, maybe even a bit too much :laugh
But we really wanted to squeeze all the points out of that assessment that we could.
I mean if you really need to get the level 5 (50 points) like we did, why not give it the full go?! :nice1
