Hi all,
I am looking at getting a camcorder to use before I leave the uk and to record my new life.

Can anyone confirm that I can buy any type of camcorder?? Ie can any camcorder replay in NZ on their TV's??

Any help appreciated as always

if you buy it in the UK then should have no problems as UK and NZ both are "PAL" format although if you buy it in Japan, USA or a few other countries then it could be "NTSC" and you will nto be able to view the picture in colour and the picture may scoll on the screen. Some Camcorders let you select which format you use in the setup so check before you buy.

That is, of course, if you have your Camcorder licence ot operate a camcorder in NZ. Under the strict new morality laws just introduced, Camcorders (being, as they always are, used to record lewd and licentuous images) are banned from NZ.

However, upon application to the relevant people, you CAN get a permit to use a camcorder in NZ, it is really quite easy, you just have ot send me an envelope with $200, and I promise you, no-one will botehr you about yourcamcorder when you get here, I promise.
Make sure it is a PAL format though, which is your Brit format as well.
