EOI selected on 25/05/05 having submitted on 18/05/05 and pretty clueless what happens next. Thanks for the forum we now have a faint idea.
Will be posting a few queries from time to time while waiting for a response and hopefully a positive one (i.e. ITA.)
Could anyone advise if there is a requirement for minimum available funds e.g. £££ amount before application.

I believe there is a figure or sorts, if I remember correctly it was based on $1000 per person per month (or was this the Visitors Visa criteria :uhoh )

However, I don't remember actually having to quote a figure anywhere in the application process either verbally or on paper, although vaguely remember a question in the ITA relating to whether I had enough funds to support ourselves for 2 yrs or something :uhoh

Anyone have their ITA to hand? :P

Although there may be, I don't remember anything about a specific amount of money in the application process, - I am pretty certain it was mentioned under the old immigration scheme of 2 years ago....

I think money is taken into account when you have your interview for PR (if you don't have a job offer), and they are looking for the likelyhood that you will settle in NZ OK. But thats only amongst a load of other things, such as knowing the place, having friends (Cyber friends count too), good chance of getting a job etc....

I think the only time money came into the conversation was at the PR interview stage. Kind of along the lines of "how do you intend supporting yourselves until you start work?"

The only monetary aspect I can think of is having the funds to pay for all the processing of the paperwork :uhoh It's not for the feint hearted :roll:

Welcome C & M - you've come to the right place :nice1 When you get a minute, please update some details on your profile, to give fellow forum members an idea about which part of the world your from etc.

With regards to available funds, agree with what's said above. It sort of came up in our PR intverview, not so much the sum but more along the lines of how we'll be able to support ourselves whilst job hunting etc We replied with the savings we have so far and proceeds of the house (please let it sell ...)

Cash was NEVER mentioned throughout our process..... so I can't comment .. I think if you have a job offer they don't ask ... I may be wrong!

where is it your thinking of coming to and do you have ajob offer etc...??

They ask you to fill up how much money you will be bringing into NZ in one of the forms but it never came up after that.
