I spent several hours today scrubbing down our garden furniture, and was amazed how many beasties had made nests in various places.
I like to think I was very thorough but I'm bound to have missed something. Has anyone had any experience of brining in garden furniture? How do MAF react (it's wood but varnished). If the worst happens and it's taken away to be "cleaned" what can I expect to be charged?

Yep, we brought 2 teak tables, 10 garden chairs, 2 deck chairs and 2 umbrellas and stands, a big wooden framed gas bbq (all wooden except umbrella stands) - I gave everything a good wash with a disinfectant & put it all on a big bit of cardboard in the conservatory.

It all turned up - MAF weren't interested in inspecting anything so I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

We were wandering if we could bring the kids outdoor swing/slide climming frame with us. It's all metal or plastic and we would disasemble it and disinfect. Has any one had any problems bringing in similar?

I know someone who has brought one over no problems...

We bought several bits of garden furniture bits with us (loungers, parasols wheel barrow and tools). We cleaned them by firstly using a steam cleaner and then dettol. They arrived before we did and were inspected by MAF. All were OK.
