Just for you Babette !!!!!!! :P :P :P

We had our interview yesterday at 10 am.

We sent e-mail confirmation of Keith's City & Guilds from the NZQA on the Saturday; it would have been received in London on the Monday (probably). Our CO called Keith on the Tuesday asking when we would like the interview... so he said Wednesday...

That was a mighty quick reply I thought

We prepared ourselves by looking at what others had been asked and printed out a list of questions and wrote down our own replies.

On the dot of 10am Keith called our CO...

The interview lasted about 15 mins in total and seemed more of a formality, like he was checking off that he had asked us certain questions. He gave no real comment or reply to what Keith said.

He then said that he would check with a colleage but pending Keith getting a full assessment of his C&G, he could see no reason not to give us Agreement in Principal :raebanana :raebanana

He needs to send back Keith's original docs so we can send it off to the NZQA and he said he would confirm this in writing. He spoke about the Migrant Levy and stamping our passport, so I guess he meant it :laugh :laugh

I've been bursting to tell people and sent text messages to all my friends & family, but we need to wait until mid July when Keith can tell his employer before we break the news... It will be such a relief to be able to talk freely about it and even come onto the forum during working hours and not minding that they check my internet history :laugh

Our timeline has not changed at all, we are still looking at spring next year (UK spring that is) but we are now considering a trip over (see air fares thread).

We've not been on the forum much as it's TT time here now and we've got 5 visitors staying, one in the room with the PC in... but we'll be back again soon !!!!!! ;)

I'm pleased for you two. It's a nice feeling at that stage - but it's even nicer when you get your passports back with those blue visas in! Won't be long now for you.

I was wondering where you'd got to. Good to hear that the interview went well, sounds like it's just a case of formalities now - i shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

A trip over there sounds like a good idea. We're still (hopefully) on track for a 16th July departure. You know that you'll be welcome at our place if you're in NZ after that date.

Keep us posted, all the best.

Thank you Diny.

Not long now for you then :yes :yes

We're still about - just moved house recently too, so it's been a busy time all round. Next move to NZ ;) :exit

Excellent news Keith & Debby - sounds like you're on the homestraight :nice1 Enjoy planning your trip to NZ, the airfares thread has certainly given you some suggestions to research. When looking at your itinerary don't forget to plan in time to meet many many forum members fortunate enough to be in NZ already ;)
Thanks for your PM. Pretty manic here too, including school holidays . . . will be in touch soon.
