I'm none of the above but an administrator/personal assistant/secretary. I'm going over on hubby's coat-tails but still would like to know if anyone out there has any experience in this type of work in Auckland.

Yes I will second that, sorry I'm a nurse too and doing the full time job thing. Linda shall we get the violins out.

Best I can suggest is to look at the herald or the local paper for where ever you are heading, I'm sure you will be fine but as always I think you will find the wages much lower.

Hi

We will hopefully be going but it is my partner with all the points... he is a production engineer,I am a jack of all trades, master of none, worked in Banking and now adminstration in a well known DIY store.

Im sure we will have no problems getting a job, after all they always need the small cogs in the big wheels :)

Hi girls. Hubby is actually a kiwi so I'm going that route. I'm not worried about getting a job as such - LouLou is spot on about the small cogs and I'm going to be in Auckland too so at least there's scope. I was just trying to see if there's a big difference in the office environment than that in London or Dublin. But thanks for replying anyway. It's always exciting when you see someone has answered. Or maybe that's just me

Can't comment on the officer environment but I can tell you that people are very very friendly so know from first hand experience that settling in is easier.

Best of luck, Auckland is a wonderful place.
