well we arrived safely if not a little frazzled this morning and it is absolutely FREEZING!!! we went from 31 degrees in Singapore to just 2 !! :wah
We now have to start looking for jobs and schools ect so the hard work is really only just beginning :no
I still can't quite believe we have made it and am not sure it will sink in properly for at least another couple of weeks.
All in all the journey so afr has gone relatively smoothly we even exchanged and completed on the house sale without a hitch the day before we flew out!! :nice1
Obviously we didn't enjoy the goodbyes and even though Mum and sister came to the airport to say goodbye which I originally hadn't wanted it actually worked out better I feel than us all rushing to load the cases in the the taxi ect and having to say a hasty goodbye which would probably not felt enough and would have left me feeling that I needed to go back :no anyway I am going now I have rambled enough and I am really tired.
If anyone fancies meeting up we would love to see you we won't have a car for a while but we should be able to sort something out.

Lisa and Andy :P

Good Luck Andy & Lisa.

I know you are staying at the Drifters (Peter called me yesterday night). I could not meet you as I have spent one week in Christchurch on a fact finding mission and yesterday was my last day in Christchurch... It was far too late yesterday night when I came back to my backpacker in Sumner to head for the city again. I am writing this e-mail from Singapore airport on my way home (Ireland for the time being).
Anyway, this fact finding mission has convinced me that it is the right place to raise our family (1 wife, 4 kids all under 7 years of age). Following the couple of interviews I have taken (I am in IT), I know it is not going to be necessarily easy to get a job but it is possible. Networking is important in Christchurch.

Again, I hope that everything is going to be ok.

Note: we should send our ITA at the end of June (we are waiting for the blood results and one employer reference). We hope to move to Christchurch in Sep2005.
