Has anybody else noticed the price of Avacados rising faster than petrol??

$5 in Real Fresh today -thank god we've still got a few on the tree - otherwise my sushi will become more expensive than buying it ready made!

Here in sunny UK they always seem to be expensive and are about 70 pence each at their cheapest going up to £1 or so.

I guess if they are expensive with you, they will soon hike up the price here. :?

This is a big concern to me, I heard on the news we have a national avo shortage. Due to the good weather, the local crop was ready quicker than expected, and all got exported for cash.

I'm assured that their is a ship with Avos on route, but it'll will not be here until next week. The expensive ones in the shops just now, are the airfreight ones.

I'll be planting an Avo tree in the garden when we move house in July
