Hi mechidna, have just read that you are soon to be on your way & how quickly you sold your house. :clap I hope we have the same luck out here in the boonies of Nebraska. I wondered if you would tell me which shipping company you finally decided on as we're going through the process again.

I thought we would have been in Ashburton by now but it seems that there's always something crops up to put a block in the way. I've spent more time back in England since Feb. than I have in Ne. as my Mum has been diagnosed with the big C. She so much wants us to go ahead with our plans so we've decided to get the house sold etc. then spend a few more weeks( I may stay longer) in England before going on to NZ from there.

My heads been in such a whirl lately that I can't find my "safe" place where I put the info on the shipping co.'s :roll:

saw your post regarding shipper. If you haven't heard back from Michelle,... we gave her the referal to our friend (who is the shipper) and Michelle used her in her move... We are waiting to hear how she is settling in too. We used her too.

My husband is friends with the shipper. We paid 45% LESS than the lowest quote we recieved from any other company (yes..even though she is a friend, we still checked prices!) We moved a 40 ft container to Christchurch. ALso priced out Aukland, as we were not sure where our destination was going to be.
