Hiya,
were considering Dunedin (along with everywhere else!) its all looking pretty positive, but we were wondering if someone could tell us what the summers are like down there. Were not adverse to a cold winter at all, but a warm and sunny summer wouldnt go amiss!

We spent one New Year holiday in Dunedin. I was very very warm. Out on the penninsular beaches it was beautiful - wide sandy beaches with almost no one on them.

A short distance from Dunedin, in Central Otago, you get some of the most consistantly high temperatures in NZ during the summer. Alexandra and Cromwell are often into the 30s.

But, as everywhere, when the wind changes all bets can be off...
