We have submitted our EOI today. :clap :clap :clap

For those of you who have not read about Martyns recce to Christchurch, he was offered 3 Flexographic Printing jobs. One of which he will accept, it does not start until October 2005 when the new printer arrives. So we have a little time to sell the house and get PR.

So now all we have to do is wait (and chase up the estate agents!)

Good luck on your EOI!

I hope yours won't let you wait as long as ours is doing, seems you UK people have an advantage over the rest ;)

Well folks, its all happening, just looked at NZIS and WE'VE BEEN SELECTED. :clap :clap :clap :cheers

I'm glad Martyn and I managed to keep awake to check it all & submit it on Tuesday night. Also quite glad that someone dug up the cable which put all the phones down...this also seemed to affect NZIS as they did selections a day later!

Not sold house yet though, but someone coming round on Sunday..so fingers crossed.

Good luck guys

Watch out for the stumbling blocks and if/when you do come across them try not to get down.

We've hit a MASSIVE stumbling block with the sale of our house and we're due to fly out in 3 weeks time.

At the moment I'm just managing to function ........ eating, sleeping, living house exchange.

Fingers crossed you'll get a buyer soon and all will go well.

Keep us posted.

Thanks everyone for all your good wishes.

Diny - house market seems quite slow at moment, had ours up for sale for since beginning of April, but they say it will pick up soon!!!! :? May have to look at figures again and bring price down...but we'll hold on for a bit as Martyn's job does not start until October.

Hope your house problems sort themselves out.

Sorry Debs, feeling bit down today as keep reading about house sales and flights booked etc. Just feeling that hubby will be going out without us :( :( :( Yes glad I handed it in, it has flown since hubbys trip to NZ & his job offer in June. But house has been on market since April...we sold both our other house quite quickly!

Hey don't be down or at least let's be down together :yes

I understand what you mean, but I'm just thinking the quicker all the others above move the better for us down here waiting.

It is frustrating watching everybody go. But our turn will come, lets hang in there. Chin up.

I'm now squealing with excitement all over the place and I have a huge grin on my face :smile :smile :smile :smile :smile

Still need to sell the house...but hey...i'll savour the moment a bit longer and not think about Martyn going out without us for a while!

Not told kids yet, waiting for passports to come back...just in case...yes forever the optimist.

Wow is that quick or what. What brilliant news.

How can you not tell the kids? Or won't they be pleased :wah :wah :wah

I'm really pleased for you all but dead dead jealous.

Sorry smiler :eek :eek :eek I'm sure it won't be long. We had a job offer, so apparently you jump the queue!!!

Kids have gone to bed, so that's my excuse at moment. I'm sure I won't be able to contain my excitement and tell them tomorrow. My 12year old daughter will then ask if she can NOW tell all her friends and both my daughter and son will be asking WHEN DO WE GO? It's just that I don't have an answer for that one at the moment as the HOUSE STILL HAS NOT SOLD :? :( . Hubby may be going out to start his new job on 3rd October without us!!!

Ho hum the joys of emigrating!!!! Still loads of highs & lows to go!!!

Hope you hear soon smiler.

Hi Karen

Then I hope you are not only enjoying the fact that the kids are in bed, but that you have a SECRET too :laugh :laugh

Even with a job that's quick?

I'm sure everything will fall into place and lots of luck with the house. I guess if it comes to 3rd October (in 7 weeks ? :eek :eek) that may be the hardest part.

I hope it doesn't come to that and everything crossed for you. (can't find a smiley so X)
