Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone has returned their ITA in May or June, have you heard anything yet? I know it is very early days still (ITA received by NZIS in London 15/06/05) but I have been reading previous threads which suggest email to arrange interview in as little as 2 -4 weeks. We received the standard letter back from them on the 17/06/05 which said they should allocate a CO within the next month and a final decision within the next 2 - 4 months. (Maybe I read more into the fact that they sent the letter so quick and took my dosh :eek :laugh  )I am still awaiting response from NZQA (maybe that will delay us a little :? ) and we have no job offer. Now I know by now I should have more patience but it's abit like being pregnant 1st time around :laugh So if anyone has sent their ITA off recently can you please give me some info even if it is that you havn't heard anything either :uhoh
Also I was wondering how will I know when we have a CO will they send me an email or a letter or will I just not hear anything? And one last thing will my status on NZIS site change from "Application received" to something else or does it stay the same? I think I am becoming obsessed with this now  It has become a daily ritual! :laugh :laugh :laugh ;)
Many thanks
Michelle

Hello Robothamma,
To answer your last question first: your status on the NZIS website will not change into something else. You will just receive an e-mail or letter from the NZ House in London.
Since we are from Holland we are in a different regime at NZ House, but we do not have a job offer either.
They received our ITA on 26 April - we received the same letter as you have regarding the allocation of CO and coming back with us in 2 - 4 months. However, we have not been allocated a CO by now and they tell they have a big back log. Last time they told us, we have to wait for another 3 - 6 months!!!! But please remember, we are probably in a different queue than you are.
Please keep us posted on your progress.
I wish you all the luck in the world with getting somewhere the patience you will need at the moment.
Regards
Anita

Hi,
We submitted our ITA in May and have been allocated an Immigration Officer, but then Zoe does have a job offer which is supposed to start in September!
We were feeling very excited but were bought down to earth by a subsequent letter from NZIS requesting further medical information (eczema and seizure 2 years ago) about me (not main applicant) - isn't this supposed to be sorted out by our medicals? It seems we pay a lot of money for very little!!! Anyway, the letter said that the information was be necessary before a decision would be made but that a decision would be made in mid-July anyway - we were a bit confused. :? Problem is is that some of the medical information has to be obtained from a Consultant and we know that we won't be able to get that before the deadline date.
We've emailed NZIS but the Officer is away on holiday so we're awaiting a reply. :no
We've been wondering whether it will affect our application in anyway, maybe from PR to a limited working visa...we don't know....
On other matter, the house is nearing completion (hopefully!) and we hoping to exchange and complete by early July.
So all in all we're all over the place emotionally - just like the majority of people on this forum!

Anita - I really feel for you :eek Kind of puts my 2 weeks impatience into perspective  I hope all goes well for you and that things speed up very soon :nice1
Ant-in-cornwall - Now you have given me another worry :? :laugh :laugh :laugh my eldest has eczema well under control and the doc said it would cause no probs BUT because he noted it on the medical I suppose they are going to query this now too! :wah I have wondered about ringing NZIS and asking them what extra information (if any - I can hope! LOL) they need so that we can be getting that done whilst we wait for them to process our application otherwise that will be another delay :eek but then I wonder if we will just be creating a problem that wouldn't have been if we had just kept our mouth shut! :eek :laugh Hope you understood all of that! Anyone been in a similar situation I would love to hear your thoughts :( I agree with what you said about the meds our were that straight forward that they could have been carried out by our local GP :eek but what I found even more bazzar was that they didn't even ask for the name and address of your doctor yet if you apply for Life assurance cover in the UK they ask you for it! :? I agree with the extra info needed from a consultant too the Doc is there so why can't it be arranged there and then?
We are fortunate that we sold our house last November (though that wasn't without problems :wah :eek ) and are now in rented albeit they are going to demolish it very soon to make access for new housing, the diggers arrived last week to start on the field at the back :eek & we really don't want to get tied into renting over here for another 6 months  So I will keep my fingers crossed for you all with NZIS and the house and I hope all goes smoothly and rapidly :clap :nice1 Good Luck :nice1

Hi Michelle.
NZIS in London received our ITA on 17 May, and we were contacted by email for an interview six days later and actually did the interview on the 26 of May. We found out we had PR by watching our checking account and seeing the migrant levy come out on 4 June (though when our passports came back they said PR had been granted on 2 June).
Our times are on the quick end of the scale (no idea why) but I thought I'd answer your question. It seems to be random, and some wait a long time but mostly still end up with the much anticipated PR (or work visa) in the end.
If I were you I would not ask about the eczema. I wanted to ask about something on our medicals I was sure would be a problem, but my very calm OH said it would probably be fine to leave it be, and NZIS never said a word about it. They may ask you to provide more info, but at least you won't have to wonder whether it was only a problem because you called their attention to it! Just my opinion.
I hope you don't have to wait much longer!

Hi Jessica,
So, that's great news for you! When are you leaving for NZ and where are you going?
I see in your list, that you did not have a job offer and still were handled very fast at NZ London. What kind of profession do you have? Are you in IT?
Regards,
Anita

Being in IT doesnt speed up things Anita, my hubby is, and we're still waiting for any news from London ;)
But it's a nice sunny (not too hot!) day today, so I'm not going to let it make me feel down any more, we're off to my MIL's birthday :cheers

Hi Anita,
Nope, I just work for a children's theatre. Go figure...
We're moving to Wellington, but not until early next year. (Our old house has never been on the market, and there's lots to do to get it up to code.)
I hope you get PR soon! Glad you have already passed the EOI hurdle.

Yes, as I see it right now (on this beautiful sunny day) it really all seems to be like a gamble.
