Pehrhaps a naive question, but I'm in the US and we get very little international news. Has there been a flu "epidemic" in NZ? If yes, how bad is it? Are there any travel restrictions to/from NZ? I saw blurb on a blog, but I checked the Dominion Post today and didn't see anything.

Thanks -

John

Hi Carol,

I heard that flu vaccine that is supposed to shield you from flu misseries. Isn't this routinely administered to Kiwis?

There was something in the paper yesterday (?) about the fact that a strain of the flu from Hong Kong has come down. It was in the flu shots last year so some people might be better off, but it didn't make the cut this year. Don't quote me on specifics, I couldn't find the article when I went back to look for it. I just know that they were stating that one primary school of around 350 students had 124 students absent one day due to flu. Yikes!
