Try a general google search on australia immigration forums.
The name that keeps cropping up is britishexpats.com, seems to have advice forum on immigration matters etc.

Not looked at the site, but may be worth a start for your friend!

This is the one to help. I registered with them 18 months ago as they also had a NZ forum on it,but it seems to have gained more momentum towards OZ. Not bad actually.

We found aussiemove.com to be pretty good & informative - mainly aimed at people moving to Perth but lots of info on Melbourne & Brisbane too.
