Hi All

Just about to send my ITA and noticed the birth certificate says must have both parents names on it, I have the original from 1963 from Manchester East Central but doesnt have either of em on it !

The bit in the checklist is in BOLD so should I delay it and get a new one and will the new one have both parents when the original doesnt.

Anyone been through this loop ?

..Can I save twenty quid and a small wait and send the original ?

...Will the evil Dr Zarcon get his evil way with our hero ??

tks

Hiya - you have what is referred to as a "short" certificate. You will need a "full" one (i.e. with parentage info) for your ITA - at least you did when we applied.

Therefore you'll need to hold off sending your ITA until you have a "full" cert.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, happened to us - you'll need the full ones.

HI there,
Same thing happened to us, the only cert I could find for my son was the short version but I phoned the registra office where it was issued from and they were able to offer me an express service they offered to post it out the next day or have it ready for me to collect in person. If you still live near the office that registered you and its an English office this should be possible.

I had to get one for Rhiannon, took me 20 minutes waiting, £7.00 (I think) and the parking.

You just have to go to the office where the birth was registered (if possible).
