Just yesterday we received our written confirmation of our Approval in Principal, which means that we can tell our employers of our intentions - what a relief that is :P

That's been the biggest stress for us, having to keep quiet about it all. This island is very village like and you never know who knows who, and rumours are plenty !!!

We're still waiting on the NZQA for written confirmation of Keiths qualifications, but as we've already received electronic confirmation we are fairly confident that this will come through OK.

My boss was really sweet and immediately went out and bought me a bottle of champagne  is he glad to be getting rid of me I wonder :uhoh :laugh

We should be back on the forum more often now as I can use this at work - and besides, all our exams are over & done with now. The first of many new turning points

Well done Keith & Debbie,

I know what you mean about the releif. I couldn't be a spy with all those secrets to kep it would kill me.
I felt like I could finally take a big deep breath once I had told my employers, like you my boss was really cool about............I must pester him for some champagne though.

Well done about the PR in Principle, we got ours last month, and Andy told his work about a week 2 weeks ago, and my boss was telling me about the future yesterday and how she might retire in the next few years or cut down on her hours, and was trying to reasure me about my job, so I felt
I ought to be as honest with her as she was with me.

I woudn't say she got me champagne, but she was not made and said thanks for telling her so she could plan the future.

Well we must all get down to selling the houses now and looking at the move for real. No going back.

Well done. and see you there. :clap :clap :clap

Thanks Jo's

Good luck to you both, and with the selling of your house.

It makes it real when you get the letter, it took a good 2/3 weeks for that to come through, so we were beginning to think our CO had changed his mind....

They'll be some real celebrations when we get PR :P :P
