Wanaka seems to have a lot of vacancies for Gas Fitters. As a winter and summer sports area attracting lots of tourists does anyone know what it would be like to live there?

It is a lovely little town, but as you rightly say, it is a tourist haven all year round.
The lake, and mountains in the summer, skiing in the winter.
The road going in is breathtaking, hugging the lake most of the way.
