Well we've finally managed to get and accept an offer on our house. Got our solicitors organised this morning so it's pretty much just a case of starting to pack and hoping that things go roughly to plan and it doesn't take too long or fall through.
Buyers have already started calling it their house and have been gazumped twice already so at leats their intention is clear.
They and us are still showing our house to viewers as you have to have a back up plan.
So hopefully sometime in september or october we should have completed and I will ahve worked my notice.
Just in time for spring i guess? Anyone know when the weather starts picking up again?
Sorry to hear about your problems Kim, hope you get another buyer very soon.

Good news Paul. :clap I just hope everything goes as smoothly as it can. As we have had first hand experience of the persons intentions, these plans can go pear shaped. Not for one moment i am not saying yours will, but just be aware. :?
When news like this drops on your door step, all you want to do is scream from the roof tops, but just step tentatively until you know exactly where you stand.
Jeeze, i sound as if its all doom and gloom :no so i better shut up. Good luck with it and we will see you on Saturday. Hope you are a good batsmen, cos i need to get one back on Jo. :laugh

Well done you two.
The estate agent is coming around ours to take 'better' photos, have to admit the original ones of the back garden were pretty poor and don't show its true size.
Fingers crossed it does the trick.
Oh and BTW if you want to be on a winning team pick mine on Saturday.

Brilliant news.
I've got my fingers crossed that all will go OK for you. As Kim says, not wanting to be a 'doom and gloom' monger but don't hold your breath. Just make sure you have a plan B,C,D etc.
We are on plan B at the moment, due to fly out a week on Saturday and it looks as though Plan C may have to kick in .... the next few days will be vital. Buyers are snakey little gits at the moment .... don't get bitten !!!!
On the up-side though. I may be a loser where house sales are concerned - but HECK .... I'm on the winning team as far as rounders goes.
Who was it that scored the double rounder ????????
It was MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!
Fingers crossed and good luck.

well blow me!
just had some first time buyers round and they want the house also!
what's the flippin score?
no matter what we are sticking with our current buyers unless they fail us, something inside me says that I should not go back on any deal for more money or more favourable circumstances. Our buyers are signing their mortgage application on friday and their buyers signed their mortgage application today.
I think I feel more comfortable with any consequences if I am confident that I have acted honorably.
