Hi Folks

Just to calm my jangling nerves, at what stage do they actively pursue your employment references during the application process?

I have added references for all of the jobs I have done in the past 10 years, including my current employer - who as yet knows nothing of my intentions :uhoh

And I would hate for them to find out this way.

Could any of the more experienced bods on the forum shed any light on the matter for me ?

Hi Tee,

We've been approved in principle (subject to confirmation from NZQA that my quals are a level 5 or above) and to my knowledge none of my employers have been contacted yet.

Don't know if this an exception or the rule.
