We finally submitted our ITA on Friday :mrgreen:

As it was all the originals I just couldnt hand it over to the postie to send so I decided to take the day off and go down in person to submit it. I thought then I'd just be handing it to the receptionists but they directed me to the immigration waiting area so as I was there I took a ticket and handed it over in person. It was worth it as the nice lady took everything out, checked it over

Qualification - "Yip the HNC is listed that should be fine"

Wifes English ability - "The job ref and UK IT qualification look good"

Birth certificate - "both parents listed, thats OK" - thanks everyone :clap

Then she receipted it, said everything looked OK and not to worry.. 10 weeks of sweating dismissed with a few smiles. :nice1

Today the status has changed on the web site to Application received and residence visa pending..

We're not even planning to move until 2006 so why am I now panicking even more :eek !!

Dont panic, your visa does not start until you want it put in your passport, you dont have to get that done as soon as you get your succesful decision, so that should get you some extra time to get stuff sorted, you are as well getting it all done now, than running about in Jan/Feb next year pulling your hair out.

I guess its because I've already told everyone including work we will be off before easter 2006, its all part of the master plan to leave with everyone happy and with no loose ends.

My bit problem is anticipation, I had to stop myself on Monday from applying for a job as it would completely screw everything up if I actually got it !!

Were planning a holiday in NZ after the London EXPO in October, this was going to be the trigger to begin everything (assuming I get the visa :uhoh ) thats still three months+ away and I know I should be being productive now but I cant think of anything to do that doesnt involve just hanging around the same old web sites looking at property, schools, jobs etc and something that wont commit us before the PR is issued !!

It may be butterflies or nerves but what did everyone else do (or wish they did) if they could have planned it perfectly ?
