Hi,

As of this monring I'm the proud ower of:

"Decision Successful

Congratulations.

We are very pleased to confirm that your Expression of Interest has been successful.

You will shortly receive a letter inviting you to lodge an Application for Residence. The letter will contain information to help you complete your Application for Residence."

What happens/do I need to do now?

Cheers,

Neil

Congrats Neil, you're in the same boat as we are, many of us on here I think. Now you wait for that mail by Courier to arrive, read the letter thats in there (I was pretty amazed about the whole hefty package) and then you start collecting all the items that are listed there ;)

Hi Neil

There's nothing much you need to do now, except

panic,

look for the large can of patience,

sell the house, car, kids on Ebay or pack them all up to sell on trademe.nz,

panic somemore,

start having nightmares, daymares and hot/cold sweats,

stop speaking to friends, family and everyone else because you're frightened of giving the secret away/jinxing anything,

watch for the postie every morning whilst swigging from the said can of patience and watching paint dry,

drift off into daydream mode everytime anyone mentions ANYTHING to do with NZ.

So not much to be getting on with now :no

But congrats on your EOI :clap :clap :cheers :clap :clap

Congrats Neil,
You've got over the first hurdle. :clap

Not too sure on the timings at the moment, but your ITA should arrive anywhere between now and 3 months. I'm certain someone will put me right.

Ok, you will need to organise qualifications, proof of employment in your field, proof of partnership ( if you intend taking her :eek )police checks ( these should take no-more than 40 days for you to receive ) and of course, the medicals ( depending on where you live and how busy the clinic is ). The police checks are valid from the day of print for 6 mnths and I recall the medicals being good for around the 3 mnth mark.

From the date of your official notification ( not email or website ) which should be in with your ITA, you have got 4 mnths to return all of the above and more to NZIS.

Hope this helps and good luck for the next stage.

John
