Hi everyone,
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find much on the search bit: how can teens 14 (doesn't want to go) and 17 (can't wait, will just die if we don't), both female, find out where/what's cool/not with their peers in NZ? Typical stuff like music /fashion most sought after info. Have got some websites, but would appreciate help with this. We live in Cardiff currently, so not the epicentre of the world, but (not dissing Cardiff, I am Welsh born and bred) a reasonably cool place for teens.
Also, I really like this green man, so have put him in for colour
Thanks in anticipation,
Gil

Hi Gil, and welcome aboard. Try sending a PM to Flying Dutchman, as I believe he is a teenager and a fairly recent arrival in NZ.

Welcome Gil. My brother & sister emigrated (with our parents ofcourse) to Nelson back in Sep'03. At the time they were 15 and 18, both experienced all emotions possible leading upto the move, which wasn't helped by my sister getting into a very heavy (first) relationship just a few months before moving :no
Almost 2yrs have past and they both LOVE IT ALL :nice1 Send me a PM (private message) if you'd like your daughter(s) to correspond with them direct, and ask them teenage type questions.
Best of luck with your journey.

Hello all
Just read everything here.
We're coming to Auckland in Sept/Oct and will be bringing our 17 year old son too.
He's very quiet about the whole thing and it would be good to hear about any of your experiences.
We are thinking of Howick for a possible place to live and the 2 schools of choice for him (6th form) seem to be Macleans or Howick. Anyone any comments about these two?
Thanks for any advice or experiences etc.

My niece attends Howick College - but the place only opened a couple of years ago - she was a foundation student. Not sure if there will be 17 year olds there yet........but then again I really dont know!
Howick is lovely - I prefer Wellington but there you go.
