we are flying into Chc in March if you could check out some decent B&B's. My parents are coming for a holiday too (well I have dragged them aloing so they know what to expect with the flight when we move there). So I need something nice but not costly.

Hello,
We were focused on the North Island, and already had 2 places selected, when we started to read more about CHristchurch...a walkable, neighborhood type of city. I have some questions, if you please:
Is it very windy?
I have a preteen son, does it offer good schools and easy recreation.
Neither of us are in IT jobs, are jobs plentiful.
I am in the arts, is there a thriving art community?
ANy insight would be helpful.
