Hi,
I am moving to NZ in Aug/Sept on a WTR visa as I have applied as an electrician with experience and will be upgraded to PR once I have a job offer and gain registration as an electrician.

Does anyone know if I can submit a new EOI with my wife as principal applicant as a registered nurse with a job in NZ once we get there and she finds a job??? She will have a work visa as part of my application so can get work. This may sound complicated but as she has just qualified (5 months work experience) she would like to continue working to learn more skills and gain more experience. If she does tghis, I would not be able to work full time as I would have to look after my son.

Therefore, I wouldn't be able to get electrical registration/job offer etc. so I was hoping to be able to submit another EOI application for PR with my wife as principal and me as secondary so that my electrical registration would not be necessary straight away.

I am not 100% sure Nick, but would your wife not have to get registration as a nurse before she could work?
It may be worth your while dropping a PM to Michelle (michelle and Richard) as she works for a specialist agency and should be able to help.

Thanks for the advice. Her registration documents have been sent off and we will hopefully have it in the next few weeks (ie before we get to NZ)
