Hi Everyone,

We are thinking of settling in Kaiapoi (may change when we land). My job is just off Blenheim road near to the Westfield shopping centre in Riccarton, can anyone indicate what the commute time would be for this trip?

Obviously we'll do some dry runs but I would be interested to get some ideas beforehand.

Thanks,

Mark. :P

About 30/40 mins hubby does Rangiora to centre of ChCh everyday that takes him about 30 mins in morning and 40/45 in evening depending on traffic.

Hi Mark

Hubby works in Riccarton and commutes from Rangiora and finds time is very dependent on when he leaves. If away by 07.15 it takes 30 mins leave it until 07.30 and it can take an hour. Mind you I think most of the population of Rangiora commute to CHC so you will be in good company.!!

Hope this helps

Lisa :P

Any regrets about moving to Rangiora? It looks like a nice place.
Any pros or cons you could give, would be greatly appreciated.

Weve seen a gorge plot of land in Little River on the Banks peninsular, we'll visit when were out there in Dec, but could anyone tell me the communte time from there into Christchurch? :P

I would personally say Little River is a little for for a commute. Lovely roads to drive on for a day out, but to do the trip every day would be a bit of a bind. It's a while since we were over and drove to Akaroa but I would say it's probably an hour or so. Some locals may have a better idea.

Having said that, the Banks Peninsular is BEAUTIFUL, some of the views are quite simply stunning.
