Anyway - lets start, Saturday Morning Perfect weather Rain was threatened, we wakes up and starts my unplugging chores, washing m/c TV etc, pc, then our helpers arrive Nick & Sue (NickH), Angelo, Dave, & two removal men Ace & Tom inc Van ($80/hour +$25).

You'dve thought that after moving house as frequent as we have our plan was flawless - Ace & Tom had other ideas, which was fine; basically we humped all the boxes to the trailer & left the packing of the Van to them.

First load ready to go to house:

The whole move went so smoothly no tears, no breakages, nothing lost, Like putting on comfortable jeans - its so good to be HOME.

ps did you notice Lindas window open on her car drivers side - it stayed like that till Sunday 2pm....yes thats right....after the wetest night we've seen while we've been in Auckland....yes.........it was swimming :uhoh !

Fortunatly - our house has two garages & once some boxes were emptied there was enough room for Lindas Echo & Two heaters either side of the open doors trying to dry it out :laugh :laugh :laugh .

Hi All,
Well we've been in the house one week now. WE LOVE IT. It has made a massive difference being in OUR house. :yes

Some rather bizarre happenings though - I have developed a penchant for the fire :eek ..... can't seem to leave it alone - Ali thinks I'm a closet pyromaniac or something. Can't help it it so WARM!!!!!!!!!!!

Lucy has settled in to the new house like we've always been here....... like always she come up trumps when we need her to.

The move was a hoot -our new pals pitched in and helped. Lucy enjoyed her best pals being here to help her set up her room ---- in dress-up gear I may add.

Its wierd it now seems that reality is REALLY here. We now have regained the shackles of a mortgage - albeit not too large but its there.
I thought that would freak me out but its strangely comforting in a way.

My Birthday last week - well I - thought it would be VERY grim. I had to work ( was Leading the first day of the Uni course I'm co ordinator for and lecutring 3 times - I was sooooooooo nervous) and I also thought It would be strange not to see frieds and family etc.
BUT
Our new pals came up with the goods and Lucy stayed with them overnight ( her best pals house) Ali arranged a meal out with his work pals and it was just fab.

The Uni day went really well. Got home ready and wenyt out till the wee hours boogying and quaffing to my little hearts content ...... Has done wonders for me!!! :nice1

Ali has just been to all the neighbours droppingoff little calling cards with our picture andan open invite for coffee - we'll se what happens from them eh?

I'm going to go and lounge on my sofa in MY house now for a bit!!!!!!!

Good idea about the calling cards although we had a steady stream without that, I was amazed at people just knocking on the door to welcome us, it felt good
