Hello there,
My partner and myself are currently at the ITA stage (documents in London awaiting a Case Officer). I've just found this site and so far it has been a massive help in answering all those small but worrying questions. I never realised that so many people are going through the same process!
I was wondering if any members were employed in Social Housing or Private Housing. I cuurently work as a Housing Officer for a Housing Association in York but am unsure about the prospects of finding related work should we get to NZ. I'm looking at getting suitably qualified once in NZ to work in real estate (back to school!).
I have a degree in Archaeology and a post grad diploma in Housing. I know archaeology to housing may not be a common route, but hey it pays far more!
I've contacted the Australasian Institute of Housing and Housing NZ, but I was wondering if anyone has a similar background or knows someone who has, and how they found getting work.
If anyone has any advice on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Ebeee :smile
