My EOI has been approved, I was selected from the 1 Sept draw with 105 points, obviously no job offer.

Excellent. It seems if there was going to be horrendous backlogs, they would delay this part of the process also, but they are currently ahead of schedule - unless they take a long time in posting out the pack. But they do say to make sure the address on the EOI is current so we get our letter 'at the earliest'.

Cheers

Now I'm really getting depressed, selected August 18th with 115 points. :no

Still, it's early days I suppose.

Mark. :(

There must be some logic behind their processing time.

Perhaps your app. had something not too straightforward? Mine was complication free, including a qualification pre-assessment result from NZQA.

Maybe they're doing it alphabetically?? :?

I was thinking about this and I bet it might be in who applications are getting allocated to. Some people probably go through them faster than others.

Well done to all of you that have got to the next stage. It must be a really nice feeling. :nice1

I agree with you Mark it is getting a bit depressing being left behind, :no but at least it is not just you. We were picked from the pool on August 18th with 120 points and so far no change. I can not wait to get the Invitiation pack through the post. I have sent of for police forms etc, got letters from old employers and just waiting to book our medicals.

Good luck to all of you with the next stage. Keep in touch and let us know how long it takes to get your PR through.

Hi Nicola,

I am sorry that you haven't been invited yet, but then I'm glad I'm not the only one!! ;)

I'm sure it will pan out soon for all of us who haven't been chosen yet though.

Mark. :nice1

It does seem like it's a bit of a lottery when folks are getting invitation to apply with less points than some that were selected in earlier weeks.

Hey ho - nowt we can do but be patient and wait our turn. :angel

Congrats to all who got selected and moved to the next step! :clap

We were selected on Sept 1 with 110 points but no job offer. Since then we have not heard anything from NZIS. In the letter from NZIS they said they will get back to us in the next 4 - 8 weeks so its still another month to go I guess.

The wait is killing us, if you know what I mean

Hi All,

The latest selection says that 10,580 EOI's have been selected so far, and that approx. 42% of these have been verified. if you look at this in a linear fashion this means that only EOI's up to the beginning of July would have been verified and invited. As we know that (lucky!!!) people have been verified from much later this proves that they are using some other method of working through the load. As looking at the form would effectively do the verification the only logical conclusion is that they have a number of staff working on blocks of EOI's and that some are going faster.

Is there anyone here who was selected in July that is yet to be invited, or is it possible that the 42% figure is incorrect?

Cheers,

Mark. :?

Thanks for all the congrats.

However, having cleared this hurdle, I now need to face the next one - trying to get evidence together for the NZQA assessment............
