Sorry I know this has been asked before. But how long does it take to get your passports back stamped with the PR visa, once you have approved in principal?

We have just discovered that our house buyers want to move on 4th August and we have not have not sent the passports off for the last stage. I was waiting for my shiny new one with my married name on it.

It was about 2 weeks from sending the passports in (didn't do that staright away), but we didn't expect them back as quick as when we spoke with them they had a bit of a rush on. I suggest you call them and ask :smile

I just spoke to the London office yesterday and the case worker said to expect it to take 3-4 weeks to process. But we're in the US so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Susan, it's quite accurate about the time frame between approval of principal to stamped passport. We got our stamped pass around 3-4 weeks.

We got ours in a week.

We were told you can get it done faster if you have a pressing reason like a job waiting for you etc.
