Hi all,
I've just had a look at the medical forms and was wandering, how honest do you need to be, I'm not suggesting lying, just minor neglects to tell. How far back do you need to go and is there any way the Dr can check up. For example they ask if you have ever had anaemia, well 15 yrs ago when I was going through my vegitarian phase I had mild anaemia picked up via blood donors and the GP gave me some diet advise, (eat meat or greens) and all was well. I just don't want to get stung or stabbed for every possible extra blood test and a hefty bill because I admit to a load of ancient minor ailments.
Any advice please.

Debbie

I was honest about all my major things including TB as a child.

The 'little' things that you mention I wouldn't have put on but you could always mention it to the doc and ask his advice when you are there. We all have minor ailments from time to time and I think that is expected and they won't penalise you for it.

Good luck

Deborah

I think of it similarly to when the Doc asks me if I've ever had a dizzy spell or had a cough. Well yes, I get dizzy when I stand up too quickly and get a cough when I have a cold.

If a problem is chronic or was serious, you may want to mention it. I think they want to know what kind of burden you might be on the health care system, or might be bringing in a nasty disease.

I can only echo what the others have said - I left out a few minor ailments and all was fine. :nice1
