Hi Folks

Now having come back down to earth after having had our EOI selected on the 19th, I am beginning to wonder if there is an average time it takes to move on to the ATI stage ?

What are your experiences?

Cheers
Tee

I suppose it depends on where you live. I don't know if it changes much if you are inside or outside NZ.

The longest wait is for the paperwork to arrive after you have been selected. Ours took about 3 months (but it was over Christmas time, so I don't know if that had any influence)

After your EOI has been selected, they do something (never been quite sure what), to check if what you said is true, phone around or something (this is what takes the longest, and it took ours about 3 months - on the website it says about 6 weeks), and then you get a letter that says you have been vetted, and you have been assigned a case officer, and here is your paperwork

From there it is pretty much up to you how fast you get your paperwork in. We had trouble proving partnership (long story), but otherwise it would've taken about a month after we gave in all our paperwork for it to be approved
