I know floods on the magitude of recent times are rare, but it's something ( as someone who's never been there ) that comes into my planning for property buying. Found these sites interesting.

Think some detailed map comparisons are in order in the near future, even if it's just for peace of mind. Still, could always ask the locals too !

Annie - the blue bits on the map are the areas that were flooded at the beginning of this year. Apparently it's an area that is subject to flooding :?
