If anyone is heading over this way - I can highly recommend the Homestay that we used when we arrived.
Jackie and David are from the UK and have been in New Zealand over 20 years. The welcome we received was so warm and friendly.
Jackie is a cross between "worlds greatest Mum" and "Best Friend"
David is a wonderful gentleman, and will do anything to help you out.
They are still helping us now and we left over 6 weeks ago!
The Homestay is set on a 5 acre olive farm in Ohoka, with spectacular views of the Mountains. Its very peaceful and safe.
We could not have wished for a better start to our life in New Zealand.
If anyone wants further info you can PM Nic (kiwi).
