Hi all,
I’ve read all the threads on NZ tax in this forum, been to the NZ IR page, and I’m finding it hard to believe the idea that’s forming :uhoh .
Is it true that in NZ your average employed person pays income tax, rates and GST and that’s it!
I keep looking for the nasty surprise, I found myself paying well over 80%+ in taxes in the UK once! :eek
Is there really a reasonably transparent tax system in NZ (by transparent I mean clear, see-through and not “you cant see it at all”, :P, I guess that’s what we call stealth taxes here in the UK )
Regards Bob
